Q&A: Pregnancy Question. I need help! Scared.?

Question by raia_2208: Pregnancy Question. I need help! Scared.?
So my cousin just confided in me that she worries she’s pregnant. She has irritable bowel syndrome and just can’t tell the difference. She had her period in december but she’ll know if she starts the january one in eight days. her parents are reallly protective and snoopy so she won’t exactly get away with buying a home pregnancy test. i’ve offered but live far away so wouldn’t be able to help her buy one or take it somewhere private. she’s scared to make it public by buying one. is there any place online you could have one sent to you discreetly? so her parents wouldn’t know?

I would recommend looking into free clinics in her area and see what you come up with. They will usually help out, no matter what the age of the person.

She can go to planned parenthood and take one for free there. Or she can buy the test at the drugstore, and take it at the store’s restroom. No need to bring anything home.

She really shouldn’t be having sex if she is that young anyways….

just like say your going to the mall
go buy one at a drug store
and go to a gas station and take it,

High school’s usually ahve them as creepy and freaky as that sounds.

If she wants to do that.

I know a public school that you just leave a note for the janitor in the girl’s bathroom and she places them in a bin for the girls.

Also if she hasn’t skipped it won’t make a difference yet.

    Umm.
    No.
But why doesn’t she just disguise herself and its possible to take it in a public restroom If she really thinks she wont be able to get away with her parents.

    Check out:

    -Planned Parenthood
    -Private Clinics
    -Health Department

sometimes places will let you use fake names or they use a number to identify you.

first, she should wait a couple weeks. her period’s not late yet. then, she should go to wal-mart, get a three-pack (the digital kind because the results come faster), go thru the self-checkout line, and head straight for the bathroom. If all the tests are positive, she needs to go to a clinic to confirm, and then decide what her next move will be. Make sure you stay calm and easy about the situation. The worst thing to do is judge her, and make her feel uneasy about talking to you. She needs a friend, and its better if its family. But tell her not to worry too much just yet. And even after she gets her period, she may need to take the tests, if she starts feeling weird, like tired, queasy, mood-changes.
